Innovation and Efficiency in Bluefin Tuna Processing

Thanks to this funding provided by the European Union, HASPACT Tuna has modernized and optimized its processing systems through technological innovations in cutting, packaging, and labeling.
These improvements allow us to reduce production times while ensuring the highest quality standards for our products. To achieve this, the following investments have been made:
Installation of a state-of-the-art industrial saw for transforming raw material into finished product.
Installation of an automated packaging line with thermoforming technology, replacing the manual vacuum-packaging process with a fully automated system that significantly increases production speed.
Acquisition of an automatic labeling machine to optimize the labeling process and further advance operational automation, improving efficiency and production capacity.

Development and Improvement of Infrastructure for the Processing and Preservation of Bluefin Tuna

Thanks to the aforementioned grant scheme, co-funded by the European Union, our company has been able to modernize its processes and achieve tangible and measurable results in terms of productivity, profitability, resource efficiency, and internal organization. These improvements will have a direct impact on the company’s competitiveness. Overall, they represent a qualitative leap in the company’s ability to compete, grow, and respond to market demands.
To this end, the following investments have been carried out:
Acquisition of a machine for processing bluefin tuna into diced portions, improving food safety and increasing productivity by 20% to 40% compared to manual cutting.
Installation of galvanized steel shelving for cold storage rooms, aimed at optimizing space and improving product access and traceability.
Acquisition of containers for storing processed products, providing not only functionality but also a strong commitment to environmental sustainability by optimizing the temporary preservation of cut product prior to final packaging and freezing.
